A little about my car. 1993 Lincoln MKVIII . All original, never painted...no dents. 3.73 gear, superchip, K&N, custom true dual exhaust 2 1/2 with dynomax Ultra flo stainless steel mufflers. traction control and ford traction-loc, 17X9 Cobra R (look-a-like) wheels with 245 50 17 tires. Kirban adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Modified air/box, Motorsport 9mm wires. Best time: 14.56 @ 96 mph. Complete new motor in the works. Started out with a brand new Cobra short block. Has been fitted with J&E forged 10.4 pistons. Eagle H beam rods. Everything balanced. Everything port matched from the stock dual 55mm throttle body, intake, (early generation type-looks like a SHO Taurus intake) IMRC plates, and heads. Steeda underdrive pulleys. Extrude honed heads and intake and port matched stock exhaust manifolds. Art Carr 3000 stall convertor. Will be running stock size valves. Plan to run the ModMax cams (3000 to 6500) and valve springs. Will be shooting for some 13.40s @ 102mph. This is my goal. Don't plan to run a blower but this may change. If I can't make my goal, will probably go to the 4.30 gear. I can still drive the car at highway speeds (2700 rpms @ 70 mph) but with the 4.30, this calculate to 5800 rpms @ 102 mph,in 3rd gear so if I get to 104 mph, I figure around 6000 rpms. Well, thats it. I plan to never sell this "show room condition" Lincoln and with the help of Mod Max, maybe reach my goal. So, hurry up with these cams!!! I'm sure, there are a bunch of us out there waiting.
Once again, thanks for all your help. Sincerely, George
